The surge in the Storage
Industry
The storage industry has witnessed
significant YoY growth, both in
storage capacity shipped and
revenue generated. The major
growth drivers have been an
accelerated adoption of the Cloud
and increased use of Big Data,
Artificial Intelligence, Machine
Learning, and DL. At StarOne, we
have seen a 14% YoY growth in
revenue from our Storage portfolio.
The COVID-19 Effect
The pandemic has impacted and
accelerated this growth. This
coupled with the need to run
complex workloads at scale from
anywhere with negligible latency is
driving the need and requirement
of storage solutions, and we are
just getting started.

Key Trends
The shift will be towards unified All- h y b r i d
Flash Storage Arrays, considering designing and implementing
the use cases. Additionally, we also m u l t i p l e
see a trend towards use cases
leveraging hyperconverged
storage solutions.
Further, while enterprises will look
at a multi/hybrid cloud storage
option for agility and scale, trends
also indicate that they will continue
to use on-premise storage
solutions for their archival, file
handling, and backup strategies.
Pandemic Transforms the

The digital norms during the
pandemic demanded scalability

environment to cater to the
i n n o v a t i o n s a n d c o u r s e
modifications and this had a major
impact on businesses.
Upcoming Projects
Given the market demand for agile
and scalable storage solutions,
designing creative solutions to
match the exact needs of the
customers and use case scenario
will be the key. A couple of projects
that we are currently working on
include providing solutions in a
c l o u d e n v i r o n m e n t ,
o n - p r e m i s e h i g h -
performance computing solutions
to run AI, ML, and DL workloads, and
putting in place enterprise-level
VDI solutions.
