India is one of the prominent offshoring destinations for IT organizations
across the globe. According to a report, the IT industry in India is likely to
expand to 350 Billion USD by 2025. While COVID-19 marred the growth of
many sectors and further caused a sharp decline for many industries,
the IT/ITeS sector has recorded growth by 23percent to 194 Billion USD in
2020-21, as per a report by Nasscom.
The research agency further disclosed that Information Technology
exports would reach $150 Billion in 2021, recording a 1.9 percent growth in
comparison to 2019. It must be noted that much of this growth will be
driven by companies that embrace digital transformation and a hybrid
model of work that has potentially redefined the entire dimensions of
evolving workplaces and work culture.
