Harish Emphasizes on Employing the best-of-breed
Infrastructure Security
Harish has over two decades of
experience in the industry and
currently leads a diverse &
talented technology infrastructure
team at Bitwise. In the past
decade, he encountered many
security risks due to the high
volume of interconnected systems
and networks. As a result, he has
been focusing on safeguarding
Bitwise's rapid growth through
equally scalable, efficient, and
modern IT infrastructure.
Achievements & Contributions adaptability in the systems.
In IT
I have been involved in a range of
s o l u t i o n d e s i g n a n d
i m p l e m e n t a t i o n p r o j e c t s ,
infrastructure, and security
architecture initiatives, network
management, communication
solutions, and virtualization. The
Bitwise Terra Tower Green -
Infrastructure Implementation
Project is a project that won us
many awards & accolades, such
as the Best Use of IT Infrastructure
Award in 2014 and the Best Network
Design & Performance Award in
2017.
Key Challenges Faced
I look at it as a threefold challenge,
a) employ the best-of-breed
infrastructure security, b) ensure
high levels of efficiency and
collaboration, and c) infuse
IT Deployment Close to Heart
I have a list of three projects that
are close to my heart.
First, the consolidation of 300+
s e r v e r s i n t o fi v e s e r v e r s ,
m i n i m i z i n g t h e u s a g e
electricity in the process by 90%.
Second, a virtualization project in
2012, which resulted in a positive
impact during the pandemic.
Despite different challenges, we
achieved automation in IT
operations and implementation
of SDN, DLP, and end-point
protection much earlier than
when it became a trend.
Third, SAP HANA migration to
virtual infrastructure. We took up
the initiative in-house, explored -

the entire SAP ecosystem, and
implemented SAP on physical
infrastructure in no time, and soon
after, we were able to migrate SAP
to virtual infrastructure.
Key Learnings
The importance of continuous
learning has stood out as a key
lesson.

innovation and sustained growth.

o f IT Deployment Done with Sophos
Sophos has played a critical role in
our organization's security
requirements. We enabled a
secure VPN with Sophos, which
allowed us to quickly migrate to
100% remote working capacity
when the pandemic hit. Despite the
high network security feature
requirements, the experience with
Sophos has been convenient and
easy.
