Trend Micro, the leading provider of cloud security, recently announced that its cloud security solutions have been awarded the AWS Outposts Ready designation, a part of the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Service Ready Program. With this, Trend Micro has gained recognition for its successful integration with the AWS Outposts deployments.

It must be noted that AWS Outposts is a managed service that offers AWS infrastructure, APIs, tools, and  AWS services to any datacenter, on-premises facility, or co-location space. Teams that rely on Trend Micro as part of their hybrid cloud security gain owing to a truly hybrid and consistent experience that combines a range of services, agility, and AWS innovation with seamless protection and security across the enterprise infrastructure.

The AWS Outposts Ready designation achievement recognizes Trend Micro as a member of the AWS Partner Network (APN) with products that have been duly tested on the AWS Outposts.

Sharing more information about the same, Joshua Burgin, General Manager, AWS Outposts, Amazon Web Services, Inc. stated, “With Trend Micro’s products available to customers on AWS Outposts, we are able to provide a comprehensive view of (a customer’s) security posture on their infrastructure, on AWS Outposts, and in AWS Regions both on-premises and in the cloud for a truly consistent hybrid experience.”

AWS Outposts enable firms that need to keep their company data on-premise to achieve the same while taking advantage of the AWS services and infrastructure. With Trend Micro’s protection availability for AWS Outposts, verticals including financial and government services can achieve digital transformation in a secured manner, while maintaining the data residency needs.

A recent report by IDC revealed Trend Micro’s dominant position in the Software-Defined Compute (SDC) workload protection space. At present, the company has captured almost 29.5% of the global hybrid cloud workload security market share, thus strengthening the company’s position in the hybrid cloud security area.

AWS Outposts Ready products are available as well as support for the Amazon Web Services customers. AWS Service Ready Partners have achieved success by building products that are well-integrated with AWS services, thus enabling AWS customers to evaluate as well as use their technology in a productive manner, and at scale. For supporting seamless integration along with deployment of AWS Outposts Ready solutions, AWS set up the AWS Outposts Ready Program that further helps customers to identify products that integrate with AWS Outposts. This ensures that customers have to spend limited time evaluating the new tools, as well as greater time scaling the usage of products that integrate well with AWS Outposts deployments.
